Fifteen years ago I started my career in earnest as a college professor. Shortly thereafter I joined the ranks of corporate executives, then entrepreneurs, and now I've come full circle. Now that I have the joy of teaching at the DeVos Graduate School of Management with Northwood University, my consulting team has moved on to other things and my capacity for large scale projects is much less than what it once was.
However, lots of folks are still looking for specific leadership coaching as opposed to large organizational consulting initiatives. And to be honest, I love the individual and team coaching too much to let it go entirely. So, if this sounds like you, and you think there might be some value in using me as a coach, there are still some options available.
Private Leadership Situational Coaching
Let's say you are a manager transitioning to a new team. Or perhaps you are a seasoned leader but now have a team struggling with the outcomes of a personnel reduction. Or you are faced with any number of other unique issues. You don't feel you need ongoing assistance but in your current situation you could use some specific advice or a sounding board for some of your ideas.
"Situational Coaching" starts with a description of the issue that you send me before we speak. Following the Leadership Situational Pre-Coaching Questionnaire, you give me as much background and description as possible so that our hour on Skype or the telephone will be as productive as possible. When I receive your information I will send you an invoice for $325.00 for the call. Once payment has been received we will schedule the call for some mutually beneficial time, given time zones, schedules, etc.
We then will have up to a one-hour phone call where we can discuss whatever you like related to your specific issue. I will provide my observations and advice and together we will draft an action plan during the final minutes of the call. Please note that with this coaching model, I won't be issuing a written report so you will need to be prepared to take notes or record the call.
For 30 days after the call you are welcome to email me with any followup questions you might have. After 30 days, if there are additional issues or you would like additional coaching, we can either do this again or you can look more closely at the Private Leadership Ongoing Coaching model.

Private Leadership Ongoing Coaching
While many times a one-off boost through Situational Coaching is all that is needed, there are also times where an ongoing relationship with a coach is most beneficial. Ongoing Coaching is as much about personal leadership development as it is about dealing with a specific need or issue. Similar to Situational Coaching, the relationship starts with some information following the Leadership Ongoing Pre-Coaching Questionnaire. I will look closely at this form to ensure that I see value that I can add because there is nothing worse than setting up a coaching relationship with the wrong coach. If I don't feel that I'm the right resource I will do everything in my power to suggest somebody who might be better from my network of coaches.
If it appears that I can help, we will then set-up a block of 6 one-hour meetings. Usually this is done on a schedule of two meetings per month for three months but I am open to doing one meeting per month for six months...it is entirely up to you. In this case I will invoice you for $550 before we start and then another $550 after the third meeting for a total of $1100 (six meetings at $250.00 each).
While my limit is 10 Ongoing Coaching clients, there is always a good chance that at least one or two slots are open. If we both feel it would be beneficial and desirable, this arrangement can always be renewed and current Coaching clients have priority for the slots available.

Leadership Team Coaching
While I have very limited time for Leadership Team Coaching, I truly enjoy it and have met some wonderful people who have moved from client to friend through the intense nature of this kind of intervention. Every Leadership Team Coaching engagement is different because it is based on the specific needs of the leadership team in question. Usually this is a 2 or 2 1/2 day workshop, customized to the needs of the client and presented either on-site or at an off-site location. I have done these all over the world so location is not a problem. However, because each is different, each has a different set of questions and costs associated with it. In general, the workshops are usually in the neighborhood of $2500-$3500 per day plus expenses. If you are interested in finding out more about Leadership Team Coaching, you can contact me at no obligation by completing the Leadership Team Pre-Coaching Questionnaire and I will get back to you right away.
